Philippe Dumont's website

Research

My research interest cover several aspects of parallel programming. I have especially been working on Models of Computations and Communications (MOCCs) to express and develop concurrent applications at high level.
My Phd was dealing with a multidimensional datalfow model created by the Thales company for its intensive signal processing applications. My Postdoc was a partnership between INRIA and NXP where I have worked on a Model of Computations dedicated to video applications.
Along the years, I have acquired a deep knowledge of the main parallel programming techniques and dedicated languages. For several implementations, I also had to work on low level techniques either for operating systems or for embedded systems.

About parallelism

It is quite challenging to give an overview of your research to make people understand what you are actually doing and why it is relevant. It is not only difficult to explain it to your family but also to your colleagues working in a different field. The following presentations introduce different topics related on my research topics or on parallel programming in general. They are issued from several talks that I have given over the years. Some are made for every audience, some are more complicated.
